WORKPLACE CYBER BULLIES WORSE THAN SCHOOL

With today's current use of the internet, there has been an uprising issuing on cyber bullying. Cyber bulling is the electronic posting of mean-spirited messages about a person often done anonymously. (Merriam-Webster). This ongoing issue is usually incorporated with children in grade school or students in college; it is often unrelated to adults. This is where the surprise comes in. Recent studies show that cyber bullying is progressively getting worse at the workplace than a scholastic institutions. Research, featuring 320 workers from the UK, states 8 out of 10 (80%) received some from of cyber bulling in the past six months. These findings also concluded that cyber bullying damages personal morale, causes a mental strain, and hurts job satisfaction. So my question is the workplace the worst place experiencing cyber bullying? Does cyber bullying damage a company's objectives? If you were to experience cyber bullying at work, how would you handle it?

  1. Seriously? This blows my mind. The workplace is supposed to be a place of WORK. For adults. This seems so childish to me. I personally have never been a victim of cyber bullying especially not in the workplace. Employees should be united in their disdain for their bosses and lousy customers, not divided and picking on each other!

  2. It seems that this schoolyard mentality is more and more commonplace in corporate america these days. Those who cant let the little things go in the workplace find they are miserable and make everyone around them miserable and should be let go.
